Business travel, BabyBound style

Want to ensure a perfectly perfect business trip done the BabyBound way?  Its easy with this helpful guide.

First, get approved for travel by your boss and book a flight, but make sure to mess something up so that it doesn’t go through.

Don’t check on it until the day before so that you are completely screwed when you have to rebook.

Push your trip out a day so that you can actually get a window seat.

In the midst of packing, you might ponder the “do I need to bring face soap and shampoo for just one night?” question.  Well, my friends, the answer is absolutely no.  Wash your hair before going use the hotel facial bar.  One measly little night of strange soap isn’t going to effect your flawless skin and who wants to bother with checking a bag for some silly shower essentials?  Not I, sister.

While rushing to get out the door to your waiting cab – which promptly showed up 10 minutes early – make sure to leave your winter coat safely on the side table next to the front door where it wont be in the way.

When you realize your mistake minutes after leaving, convince yourself that you don’t need it.  You’ll be in offices most of the time anyway and this may have just gotten you out of having to go to a baseball game with the bosses.  Score 1 for the early cab driver!

When you land, it is most important that you have absolutely no idea where the office is other then “its kinda near the Ritz Carlton” so that when you get in a cab, the driver will be most impressed with your brain skills.

Halfway through the day, when the big huge snowstorm starts to descend on Denver, simply tune it out.  If you pretend its not coming, it wont.

When the rest of your team starts to move all their flights up due to cancellations piter pattering in through the wires, just stick to your guns and trudge forward full steam ahead.  Who the fuck needs a jacket right?  Not BabyBound!!

When you start to see snow, spend a few moments trying to figure out if there is any way to convert snow into usable forms of facial soaps and shampoos.

And that, folks, is how you travel BabyBound style.

Looks like my wife commented as me. But I agree, layers, Kathy. Layers. (I’ll tell you about an uber rich party I went to once … I had to be coached on the appropriate layers.)
